This year marks the return of the Royal Ascot, the first to sell out since 2019, and guests seem happy to be back for this famous equestrian event.<\/p>\n

Every year in June the Royal Ascot<\/strong> promises to bring celebrities and members of the royal family to England, enjoying horse racing.<\/p>\n

The Queen of England<\/strong>, who is fond of horse racing, was however absent from the Ascot racecourse on Tuesday June 14. However, she issued a statement saying how “delighted<\/em>” she was to welcome the crowd back. “I was very grateful for the continued kindness shown to me by the racing community<\/em>,” she explained. “I hope you all have an enjoyable and memorable time, and I wish the connections of the horses running this week the best of luck.<\/em>”<\/p>\n

The spectators, gathered in the leafy Berkshire grounds, warmly welcomed the Queen’s entourage, starting with Prince Charles and his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall<\/strong>, who arrived in a horse-drawn carriage, as did the rest of the royal family. Their nephew Peter Phillip was also there with Princess Royal Anne and her daughter Zara and her son-in-law Mike Tindall, Prince Edward with his wife Sophie of Wessex and Princess Beatrice of York with her husband Edoardo Mapelli-Mozzi.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Races have always been a showcase for horses and jockeys, but also for guests to wear their best attire.<\/strong> And while trends change from year to year, the rules remain the same in the royal enclosure: hemlines must come down to at least the knee, shoulders must be sufficiently covered and, above all, a hat must be worn.<\/strong><\/p>\n
