The Okura Tokyo<\/strong> took second place in the Best Hotels in Japan category at the Cond\u00e9 Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards 2022.<\/strong> In addition, Okura Fitness & Spa<\/strong> was voted “Best Spa in Japan”<\/em> at the Crystal Awards 2022.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Co-sponsored by Spa & Wellness Japan and Conceptasia Management & Consulting Ltd<\/strong>, the Crystal Awards selected the Okura Tokyo spa from among approximately 130 spas nationwide.<\/p>\n

Kenji Takayanagi<\/strong>, general manager of Okura Tokyo, says he is delighted: “It is a great honor to be selected again as the best hotel in Tokyo in its award category, after our success last year. In addition, the Best Spa Award shows how much we have to offer our most demanding guests. These awards will inspire my team and me to continue to listen to our guests and do everything in our power to make their stay comfortable and rewarding.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Opening in September 2019, The Okura Tokyo is the flagship hotel of the Okura Group’s luxury brand<\/strong>. It consists of two buildings: The Okura Heritage Wing<\/strong>, a 17-story tower, and The Okura Prestige Tower<\/strong>, a 41-story tower that maintains a distinctly Japanese feel. The hotel has 508 rooms and 5 restaurants serving a variety of Japanese cuisine, including “Yamazato”<\/em>, which offers fine dining, and “Sazanka”<\/em>, which serves teppanyaki, a type of cooking using a hot plate. There are also two bars, a tea ceremony room, 19 banquet rooms and the Okura Spa and Fitness Center.<\/p>\n

Located on the 27th floor of the Okura Prestige Tower, Okura Fitness & Spa<\/strong> has 7 treatment rooms that offer panoramic views of the Tokyo cityscape.<\/strong> 5 different facial and body classes based on the “Five Elements”<\/em> philosophy are offered. This ancient Eastern philosophy is based on the five elements: wood, fire, earth, metal and water.<\/strong> Okura Fitness & Spa is also the first spa in Japan to offer the Annayake concept<\/strong><\/em>, which combines Japanese and Western influences and offers products derived from natural ingredients.<\/p>\n
