The awards season for the best talents in cinema <\/span>ended last night. On Sunday, March 14th, the big names of the film industry gathered for their annual meeting at the 96th<\/sup> Oscars ceremony at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Far from being the scene of scandalss<\/span> as it was two years ago with Will Smith’s slap to Chris Rock, the 96th<\/sup> Oscars ceremony<\/strong> represented an opportunity for the industry to draw attention to the current war between Israel and Hamas<\/strong>. While pro-Palestinian demonstrations disrupted traffic outside the Dolby Theater<\/strong>,\u00a0 <\/span>several personalities walked the red carpet wearing red pins reading “Artist for Cease-Fire”.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Awarded for the Oscar for Best International Film, director of The Zone of Interest<\/i> Jonathan Glazer<\/strong> paid tribute in his speech to the Israeli victims of October 7th and to the inhabitants of Gaza.<\/p>\n

Oppenheimer, Explosive Success<\/h2>\n

 <\/p>\n

Oppenheimer<\/em>, the latest film by director Christopher Nolan<\/strong> and a huge success in 2023, was already\u00a0 <\/span>announced as the favorite. Nominated in 13 categories<\/strong>, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actor, the feature film about the father of the atomic bomb walked away from this ceremony with seven statuettes.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Dark Knight<\/i> (2008), Inception<\/i> (2010), and Interstellar<\/i> (2014)\u2026 Christopher Nolan is behind numerous films beloved by audiences over the years. In twenty-five years of career, the American-British director remained overlooked by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences with only four Oscar nominations until this year.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
