Just a stone’s throw from the Place de la Bastille, in the 4th arrondissement, the SO\/ Paris is a lifestyle hotel<\/a> that is an ode to art and fashion.<\/strong> The 162 rooms, in shades of blue and orange, are adorned with panelling and geometric motifs. The lights in the Codage spa<\/a> are just as warm. But what really brings us here is the hotel’s restaurant Bonnie and bar, one of the most beautiful rooftops in Paris<\/a>, with a bird’s eye view over the Seine. On the 15th floor, where the table is nestled on a 60s-style carpet, you can feast on French dishes with New York accents under a glass ceiling that enlarges the room. As you savour green asparagus with ravigote sauce and American-style coquelet, your gaze wanders over the sublime Parisian landscape. From the movement of the bateaux-mouches to Notre-Dame and the Eiffel Tower, all the beauty of the capital is revealed. The panorama from the Lobby Caf\u00e9, on the upper floor, is just as impressive. This bar, reminiscent of a retro New York penthouse, is decorated with mosaics on the floors, marble, glass and a plant-like work on the wall by Ne\u00efl Beloufa.<\/p>\n

In the garden, where nature seems to have reclaimed its rights (much to our delight), we savour the dishes of three-star chef Dominique Crenn’s Le Golden Poppy restaurant. We then take a step up to the bar. Sophisticated and just as colourful as the restaurant itself, it boasts a magnificent terrace overlooking the Sacr\u00e9-Coeur basilica. Ideal for a romantic weekend<\/a> in the heart of the capital.<\/p>\n

The name says it all. Located in the 2nd arrondissement, Madame R\u00eave boasts 82 rooms and suites with panoramic views over the whole of Paris and a warm, cosy atmosphere of dark wood, thick curtains and vintage furniture.<\/strong> The spa of this five-star hotel, dotted with photos in homage to sport, features two treatment rooms, a beautiful gym and a light wood sauna overlooking the streets of the capital. Madame R\u00eave is also known for its gastronomic offerings, with the Kitchen by St\u00e9phanie Le Quellec, a restaurant with the allure of the Parisian Grand Caf\u00e9s of the Belle Epoque, where you can enjoy contemporary French cuisine, and La Plume by chef Benjamin Six, with its Japanese-influenced dishes, its incredible marble bar and its leafy patio. This historic five-star establishment boasts 72 rooms and a spa by Dior, with a large swimming pool decorated with an undulating mosaic. With the arrival of fine weather, what a pleasure it is to sit in the Jardin du Cheval Blanc, a truly green and flower-filled space whose bucolic spirit contrasts pleasantly with the Parisian rooftops as far as the eye can see. The dishes from the Le Tout-Paris brasserie (one star) and the Italian restaurant Langosteria are enhanced by the city’s landscapes, from the Eiffel Tower to Notre-Dame and the Seine.
