Until November 22, the Valmont Foundation in Venice is hosting a new exhibition by Didier Guillon, President of the beauty and cosmetics brand. Entitled \u201cTelemachus\u201d, the presentation integrates the contemporary art trilogy inspired by Homer’s Odyssey and focuses on the character of Telemachus.<\/p>\n

Valmont inaugurates the second chapter in its series of contemporary art exhibitions, dedicated to and inspired by Homer’s mythical work The Odyssey, an ancient Greek epic published towards the end of the 8th century BC.<\/p>\n

Four artists united<\/h2>\n

 <\/p>\n

This new stage, on view until November 22 at the Valmont Foundation in Venice’s<\/strong> Palazzo Bonvicini, tells the story of the character Telemachus. The \u201cTelemachus\u201d exhibition explores the father-son relationship from the viewpoints of Telemachus and Ulysses. A character from Greek mythology, son of Ulysses and Penelope, Telemachus appears in the Greek epics of the Trojan Cycle, where he helps his mother and then his father against the suitors.<\/p>\n

To this end, four artists<\/strong> – Jakub Flej\u0161ar, Pavel Rou\u010dka, Maxence Guillon, and Didier Guillon (also president of the Valmont brand) – met with curators Luca Berta, Francesca Giubilei and Valentina Secco during a week-long immersion workshop at Villa Valentine, one of Valmont’s four residences located on the Greek island of Hydra. A room in the Palazzo Bonvicini was allocated to an artist, who was then able to express his or her art freely and in harmony with the space.<\/p>\n

Several themes are addressed, such as origins, family ties, transformation, identity, freedom and the transmission of heritage and history. At the end of the tour, Room 5 reveals the next theme of the exhibition, which opens next year.<\/p>\n

The \u201cTelemachus\u201d exhibition runs from May 3 to November 22, 2025 at the Valmont Foundation’s Palazzo Bonvicini in Venice. Admission is free.<\/p>\n
