After closing for renovation, the Herm\u00e8s boutique on the rue de S\u00e8vres has reopened its doors and features an impressive mural by artist Matthieu Coss\u00e9.<\/p>\n

The change of scenery is complete when you enter the Herm\u00e8s<\/strong> boutique on rue de S\u00e8vres, located in the sixth arrondissement of Paris, which was recently renovated by the agency RDAI. The boutique has been located since 2010 in the heart of the former swimming pool of the Lutetia<\/strong> hotel.<\/p>\n

The three ash wood huts still stand, reinforcing the resort effect already emanating from the store. Upon entering the boutique, the Silk will welcome customers who will be instantly immersed in a unique atmosphere.<\/p>\n

Beauty is now in the store, with a selection of popular lipsticks. The jewelry and watch collections are nestled under one of these fascinating light wood huts, and the men’s and women’s fashion collections are always present.<\/p>\n

Among the additional services included in the rue de S\u00e8vres boutique is an elegant Caf\u00e9 run by chef Elisabeth Thiry, which joins directly into the cultural space that is organized with the Cha\u00eene d’encre<\/em> bookstore, born of a partnership between French publishing house Actes<\/strong> Sud<\/strong> and Herm\u00e8s<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The bookshop presents a selection of French and foreign books on themes close to the house, such as fashion, design and architecture, photography, contemporary art, and graphic arts, and offers a generous view of the former Lutetia<\/strong> swimming pool, for total immersion in the 1920s.<\/p>\n

But the most striking feature of the Herm\u00e8s Rive Gauche<\/strong> boutique’s renovations is the gigantic aquatic and colorful fresco that adorns the walls of the passageway. Formerly reserved for the pool’s bathing cabins, the passageways are now adorned with a fresco entitled L’Odyss\u00e9e d’Herm\u00e8s<\/em> in reference to the Homeric stories and created by the artist Matthieu Coss\u00e9<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The new 120-meter-long paper mural depicts a colorful divine epic that travels to the four corners of the globe. Matthieu Coss\u00e9<\/strong> worked meticulously for two months on the design of this extraordinary fresco.<\/p>\n

“A very particular and complex conception<\/em>“, confides the artist Matthieu<\/strong> Coss\u00e9<\/strong>. “For which I had to constantly switch from one scale to another, between the energy of the panoramic vision and the care of details…<\/em>“.<\/p>\n
