The Marriott International hotel group inaugurated the Palais Matild in Budapest. Immersion in the first Hungarian establishment of its Luxury Collection Hotels and Resorts line.<\/p>\n

Built 120 years ago, the Matild Palace<\/strong> is owned by the Ozyer<\/strong> Group. The site is a Unesco<\/strong> heritage site and opens its doors after a five-year renovation by Hungarian architects Peter Dajka<\/strong> and Puhl Antal<\/strong>, as well as interior designer Maria<\/strong> Vafiadis<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

With 111 rooms<\/strong> and 19 suites<\/strong>, rates for a night at Budapest’s Matild Palace<\/strong> start at 450 euros, including breakfast. Most of the rooms offer a view of the Danube<\/strong>, and some even offer a connecting room<\/strong> system for families.<\/p>\n

The Maria Klotid Royal<\/strong> Suite<\/strong>, named after the original developer of the Matild Palace<\/strong>, is an exact replica of her private suite. Maria Klotid<\/strong> originally designed this space to serve as the city’s social center.<\/p>\n

The Crown Tower Suite<\/strong>, spread over three floors, also occupies the top floor of the Matild Palace<\/strong>. The suite<\/strong> also features a 157-foot tower that offers a 360-degree view of Budapest<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Many amenities are included in this luxury palace<\/strong>, located in the heart of Budapest. The Swan Spa<\/strong>, equipped with Espa<\/strong> products, takes on the Hungarian<\/strong> wellness secrets with thermal therapy and a steam room area. A sports center and spaces reserved for meetings and events.<\/p>\n

As for the catering services, they will be supervised by Wolfgang Puck<\/strong>. The hotel will host its own restaurant, Spago<\/strong>, which will open for the first time in Hungary<\/strong> and will prepare revisited Hungarian<\/strong> specialties. A bar will open next month on the roof of the Duchess<\/strong>, while the Matild Cafe and Cabaret<\/strong> will open in September.<\/p>\n
