After the recent controversy concerning the comments of a senior executive of the Est\u00e9e Lauder Group, let’s take a look at the ambitions and values of one of the world’s leading manufacturers of high-end cosmetics, make-up and perfumes.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, Est\u00e9e Lauder<\/strong> took the decision to suspend Group Executive Chairman John Demsey<\/strong> for his Instagram post that included a racial slur and “jokes” about Covid-19<\/strong>. The brand said his suspension was effective from 22 February<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In 1991, John Demsey<\/strong> joined Est\u00e9e Lauder and held several positions including overseeing the portfolio of brands such as M-A-C, Too Faced, Bobbi Brown<\/strong> and others, before being appointed as Executive Chairman of Est\u00e9e Lauder in 2015<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Last year, Amanda Gorman<\/strong>, an American poet and activist, became the fifth black woman to be named a brand ambassador in 75 years<\/strong>, following Liya Kebede, Misty Copeland, Adut Akech<\/strong>, and Anok Yai<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
