The 2025 CFDA Awards: Red Carpet Highlights

The elite of haute couture gathered on November 3 at the American Museum of Natural History in New York for the 2025 CFDA Fashion Awards — widely regarded as the Oscars of American fashion. Let’s look back at the most stunning looks from the ceremony.

The 2025 CFDA Fashion Awards honored the leading figures in American fashion. Ralph Lauren won the award for Best Womenswear Designer, Thom Browne took home the Menswear Award, and The Row was recognized for Accessories. Style icon A$AP Rocky received the Fashion Icon Award, dedicating it to Rihanna for her influence. The event, marked by creativity and purpose, celebrated a fashion where elegance, innovation, and social responsibility meet.

Lily Allen elevates satin

Singer Lily Allen made a striking appearance on the red carpet in a powdered white satin ensemble by Colleen Allen, featuring a low-rise skirt and a micro lace-trimmed bralette (leaving her midriff largely visible), topped with a glamorous matching coat.

Model Paloma Elsesser, dressed in Simkhai, opted for a classic combination: a long beige satin skirt paired with a plunging sequin top.

Sateen Besson, daughter of director Luc Besson, arrived in Zankov, wearing a seafoam green sequin-embellished shirt paired with a two-tone satin skirt.

Rihanna reinvents the red carpet

Accompanying her partner A$AP Rocky, dressed in Chanel, singer Rihanna unveiled a look by Alaïa — a cinched, slit trench coat, pleated white trousers blending seamlessly into glossy black heels, and a high-neck sweater creating sharp, graphic lines.

Model Elsa Hosk chose Elie Saab for the occasion. Feminine and refined, her sandy-toned gown combined a plunging neckline’s allure with the lightness of a sequin-studded dress.

Actress and singer Ariana DeBose turned heads in an iconic Versace creation: a fitted silhouette with a draped bodice and asymmetrical straps, adorned with a myriad of golden crystals.

In Diotima, actress Laura Harrier perfectly embodied elegance in a sleeveless, immaculate, textured dress reminiscent of light feathers, finishing with a beautifully proportioned bubble hem.

Other standout looks

Actress Maitreyi Ramakrishnan dared to wear houndstooth – her long corset bustier transitioned into a delicate floor-length skirt where the gray pattern faded into a soft beige gradient.

Model Taylor Hill appeared ethereal in a flowing Ulla Johnson gown, where pastel hues blended seamlessly with feathers scattered across the silhouette.

And the men?

Model and actor Keith Powers unveiled a modern outfit infused with Cowboycore flair: a straight-cut blue leather jacket and matching pants, contrasted by a crisp white shirt and tie – a bold fusion of styles.

Law Roach opted for Tanner Fletcher, donning an olive-green ensemble with extra-long trousers that grazed his glossy pointed shoes. To soften the look, the stylist added a light, semi-sheer lavallière blouse tied with a large bow at the neck.

Dressed in Michael Kors, actor and model Alton Mason wore a broad-shouldered blazer and wide-leg trousers, paired with an unbuttoned black shirt layered with cross necklaces and dazzling statement jewelry.
