The name isn’t all that different from the high-end hotels we know: Chateau Poochie Dog Resort & Spa. Yet here, humans are not the most expected guests. Dogs are the real kings.
Suites for dogs
While some owners rely on family, friends or traditional boarding kennels, others prefer to entrust their furballs to a high-end hotel. After all, if you can’t always take your pet on a getaway, you might as well give him or her an unforgettable vacation.

Everything is carried out in the manner of a classic hotel. With or without a reservation, four-legged pets are welcomed by a team of staff. Three types of “suites”, as the establishment calls them, are available. Parlor rooms feature raised beds, luxury linens, filtered water, classical music, access to the Le Bone Booth telephone and a surprise gift. Webcams are also integrated into certain accommodations.
The Ambassadeur category features panoramic glass walls, flat-screen TVs, soothing tones, premium bedding, mini-bar service and, once again, classical music. Finally, the Crown Jewel Suites have been designed by Steven G Interiors and feature an artistic décor of crystal chandeliers, panoramic views, TV, mood lighting, air conditioning and air filtration.
Stroll, play and… pool
Throughout their stay, the dogs enjoy six walks a day and 20 minutes of private playtime, between Frisbee and ball. The animals can play together and socialize according to their size and temperament, with themed events like the recent Frozen Party. A cuddle time is even offered to provide residents with a daily dose of love.

When the weather’s fine, the château offers a swimming pool for water-lovers. And to feed them, “gourmet meals” are offered with premium brands such as Life’s Abundance, Tavo, Stella and Chewy, Koha, Nootie, Sassy Woof, Fringe by Pet and Haute Diggity Dog.
A salon and spa for dogs
After so much physical activity with the castle staff and other holidaymakers, a wellness break is amply deserved. The Poochie Hotel boasts a grooming and spa service worthy of renowned five-star wellness areas. “From our famous blueberry facial to luxurious shampoo treatments, Paw-it-Cures and meticulous teeth-brushing sessions, we cater to every aspect of their beauty routine with unrivalled sophistication and care,” mentions the resort, which talks of canine massage therapy, a holistic approach, laser treatment and red light therapy.
Relaxation, anxiety reduction, immune system boosting… Pets enjoy relaxation rituals just like their owners. You might even forget the traditional shampooing and brushing.
And for puppies and dogs, Château Poochie offers training courses for the little ones and reinforcement courses for adults. The hotel’s emphasis is on positive reinforcement, in harmony with a warm and caring spirit. At a time when luxury products and excursions for dogs are more in vogue than ever, this Florida jewel seems to be fully on board with the trend.
