After galvanising the small screen during their childhood and teenage years in the 90s, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen made a radical career change. In 2006, aged 20 at the time, the two sisters decided to launch their own fashion label: The Row. The label’s style was refined, minimalist and comfortable. The clothes are perfectly cut and the fabrics carefully chosen, giving the silhouettes an impeccable fit and a natural chic that’s ideal for everyday wear. Between shop openings, including one recently unveiled in the heart of Paris, awards from the Council of Fashion Designers of America and the acquisition of a stake in the company by Gérard and Alain Wertheimer and the Bettencourt Meyers family, The Row has succeeded in establishing itself in the fashion world, advocating a quiet luxury that is still very much appreciated.
Fenty Beauty by Rihanna

Back in 2017. Rihanna unveiled Fenty Beauty to the public, backed by the LVMH group. The aim? To meet the needs of all women and all skin tones. ‘Makeup is for fun and shouldn’t be worn out of obligation, nor should it feel like a uniform. Be free! Seize opportunities! Take risks and be daring! ‘ declares the Barbadian singer. 40 shades of foundation were offered at the launch, and today there are almost 60 shades. Make-up, perfume, beauty and hair products were developed over the years. Bestsellers include the mattifying and setting powder; the Butta Drop whipped oil body cream with tropical oils and shea butter; the Fenty Icon liquid lipstick; and The Homecurl curl-defining cream. In 2018, Rihanna extended her empire to lingerie with Savage x Fenty, followed a year later by ready-to-wear with Fenty. This segment did not enjoy the same success as the two previous businesses and will be discontinued in 2021, due to excessive pricing.
Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez

Five years ago, Selena Gomez drew inspiration from her third studio album, Rare, to launch her own beauty brand: Rare Beauty. The singer and actress’s ambition is to free herself from the shackles of ultra-standardised, smooth beauty and to value the uniqueness of every woman. This inclusive vision is also reflected in her message calling for people to take care of their mental health, Selena Gomez having announced in 2020 that she was suffering from bipolar disorder. 1% of total sales are donated to this cause. On the strength of this concept and its products adored by the artist’s 423 million subscribers and beauty lovers, Rare Beauty recorded sales of $350 million in 2023. Thanks to her brand, Selena Gomez has become one of America’s youngest billionaires.
Honest by Jessica Alba

Created in 2011, Honest is a brand of natural, environmentally-friendly cosmetics devised by Jessica Alba after she became a mother. Alerted by the toxicity of certain ingredients, the actress launched her label for children and the home. Nappies, wipes, lotions, clothes… all formulated with an eco-conscious approach and without cruelty to animals. A few years later, Honest presented its line of cosmetics and make-up, including skincare products, mascaras and lip balms. In April 2024, the listed brand announced Jessica Alba’s resignation as Creative Director. However, she continues to provide support and leadership as a member of the Board of Directors.
Goop by Gwyneth Paltrow

A trendsetter in the celebrity brand market, Gwyneth Paltrow launched her sometimes controversial global wellness and beauty advice in 2008. A few years later, a brand appeared on the scene. It’s called Goop Beauty, a clean label for revealing skin’s radiance. The company has also diversified into other segments, such as fashion, food supplements and the erotic market. However, since the launch of this business, the actress, described by some as a wellness guru, has been regularly criticised for her controversial and sometimes dangerous recommendations.
Haus Labs by Lady Gaga

Known for her surreal, flawless make-up looks, Lady Gaga founded Haus Labs in 2019, signing an exclusive distribution deal with Amazon. Criticised for its ultra-focused marketing on the logistics giant, the brand is reworking its branding and name to Haus Labs by Lady Gaga. It also ended its partnership with Amazon, opting instead for Sephora, and was reborn with inclusive, higher-quality products. The brand combines a style that is both artistic and adapted to everyday life.
Victoria Beckham by Victoria Beckham

In 2008, the former Spice Girl revealed her eponymous brand. Victoria Beckham’s style is refined, feminine and sophisticated. The brand has rapidly grown and gained respect in the fashion world and among the general public. In 2023, the luxury house increased its revenues by 52% to £89.1 million. And on 27 September, Victoria Beckham unveiled her spring-summer 2025 collection at the Château de Bagatelle during Fashion Week. The designer reworked tayloring, goddess dresses and tops as if moulded onto the mannequins.
