Le Victoria: the new showcase for Maison Albar in Nice

At the end of October, a new hotel will open its doors in Nice. It’s Maison Albar – Le Victoria, a five-star hotel with a Mediterranean flair.

132 rooms, a 600m2 spa, a restaurant led by Glenn Viel… Here’s what you can expect at the Maison Albar – Le Victoria hotel. Situated between the Promenade des Anglais and Place Masséna, just a few dozen metres from the beach, the hotel is already making a name for itself among Nice’s upmarket hotels.

An escape to the heart of the Mediterranean

We already know about the Negresco, the Anantara Plaza and the Hôtel Royal-Riviera. In a few weeks’ time, these establishments will be rivalled by Maison Albar – Le Victoria, which boasts an idyllic location in Nice.

The name Le Victoria is a direct reference to the 5th generation of the Albar family, which successfully manages hotels of the same name and recently opened Amoure in Portugal.

Before entering the hotel, guests can take advantage of the 5,500 m2 of luxury boutiques at the foot of the hotel.

In the lobby and communal areas, a Mediterranean atmosphere reigns supreme. Azure blue, Biot glassware, 1930s-style decor… The modern design of the Victoria, conceived by the architectural duo Marc Hertrich and Nicolas Adnet of Studio MHNA, is reminiscent of the top-of-the-range residences of the French Riviera.

The hotel has 132 rooms, including 30 suites. The rooms face the sea or the hinterland of Nice, allowing guests to immerse themselves completely in this iconic city in south-east France. White and ivory blend delicately with light blue and touches of black, enhancing these hues. As well as the precious textiles that adorn the rooms, the materials have been carefully chosen, from woodwork to lacquer and stone.

On the first floor, you’ll find the Café Victoria, with its attractive menu of drinks and light dishes to enjoy throughout the day. On the hotel rooftop, the Taulissa restaurant promises culinary delights. Under the guidance of Michelin-starred chef Glenn Viel, the menu focuses on southern and seasonal produce, with a particular emphasis on sauces. On the panoramic terrace overlooking the sea, you can enjoy a cocktail in a lounge atmosphere that’s as festive as it is lively, thanks to regular DJ sets. The highlight of the show? An incredible swimming pool facing the Mediterranean, perfect for soaking up the summer sun, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The spa, spread over 600m2, is the perfect place to unwind. With its marine decor and art deco style, this space has been christened ORIA, a name that comes from the Latin Aurum, meaning gold. It’s a fitting name, since the spa offers treatments using gold-based products designed by the Italian Giusto Manetti Battiloro. The six cabins, two of which have private whirlpool baths, also feature products by Swiss brand La Colline and Tuscan firm Seed to Skin. A hammam, sauna, hairdressing area, gym and Vital Dôme infratherapy machine are just some of the wellness facilities on offer.
