Luxus Plus Magazine has unearthed the perfect restaurant for Sicilian food lovers, which is sure to delight your taste buds. Located in the 12th arrondissement in the heart of the Faidherbe Chaligny district, Les Amis des Messina offers traditional cuisine straight from the Sicilian coast.
The story begins in 2001, when Chef Ignazio Messina, originally from Cefalù near Palermo, decided to open his first address a few blocks from the Aligre market, on rue du Faubourg Saint-Antoine. This location refers to the origins of the Chef’s family, as the place is a nod to the many Palermo markets in Sicily. Today, his sister Rosangela Messina has taken over and runs the Faubourg Saint-Antoine restaurant.
The restaurant’s menu is inspired by traditional and typical recipes of the Sicilian cuisine. The products, always in season, are selected and prepared with care by the chef and her team. This is why the menu evolves and changes every week. So you will never get bored!
The restaurant’s speciality? There are many: you can taste a Sicilian bruschetta, pasta alla norma, the Caponata or the famous tiramisù of the House. To accompany your dishes, a wide variety of the best wines are available.
