For the past 22 years, the Ralph Lauren brand has been involved in the “Pink Pony” campaign every October to raise awareness of breast cancer screening and to raise funds for research.
What is the aim of “Pink Pony”? To fight cancer, support education, research, early detection and reduction of diagnosis delays, research of treatments and referral of patients to cancer centres and hospitals.
“When a loved one has cancer, it affects us all – husbands, wives, mothers and fathers, brothers, sisters and friends. This is our initiative to fight cancer,” says Ralph Lauren.
This year, for the month of October, Ralph Lauren has decided to revisit the navy blue fleece hoodie, via a pink version of its conical logo, the famous polo player. All profits from sales will be donated to the fight against this disease, which is still taking its toll.
In France, the funds are donated to the Gustave Roussy Institute, the European Centre for the fight against cancer.
For the month of October, in Paris, Ralph’s restaurant is offering the “Pink Pony Cocktail”, a cocktail for a good cause. All profits from its sale will also be donated to cancer care and prevention.
Ralph Lauren will also release a series of videos called “Coffee at Ralph’s”. The videos will feature MSK Ralph Lauren Center patient Maria Tucker and her nurse, Jasmine Bibson, in conversation about her cancer journey. They will talk about the importance of having a supportive community and what it means to have hope.

The annual Pink Pony operation began 22 years ago. But in fact, the brand’s commitment to the fight against cancer goes back more than 30 years. In 2003, the brand established the Memorial Sloan Kettering Ralph Lauren Center (MSK RLC) in New York City’s Harlem neighborhood. This cancer care centre has become a model of accessible, humane, quality treatment, from which thousands of patients have already benefited.
