If Singapore used to hold the record for the world’s highest swimming pool ever created (250 metres high on the top floor of the Marina Bay Sands), that was before the opening of “The Infinity Pool” , located at 294 metres above the sea level, on the 77th floor of a luxury hotel in the city of Dubai, the Address Beach Resort.
Dubai is known around the world for its incredible concentration of architectural feats and record-breaking buildings, including the famous Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest skyscraper at 828 metres high.
Swimming in the clouds is now possible, as this pool opened in early May, officially approved by the Guinness Book of Records.
The pool, which has a 95-metre long pool – the equivalent of two Olympic-sized pools – offers a breathtaking view of the UAE capital and a chance to swim amidst its skyscrapers.
However, the pool is accessible according to certain criteria. Anyone wishing to dive into the world’s highest pool must be over 21 years old and have a reservation at the luxury hotel where it is located. A minimum of €200 is required for a room and therefore to be able to admire this incredible view.
