The most beautiful hotel spas in Paris

Some of the finest spas in Paris, in iconic 5-star hotels and palaces, as well as some lesser-known nuggets.

Oriental mosaic, Greco-Roman universe, French art de vivre… These five spas in Paris are an ode to well-being. With their exceptional settings and high-quality treatments, the relaxation areas promise an unforgettable interlude.

Located in the heart of Place Vendôme in the capital’s 1st arrondissement, the Ritz Paris is renowned for its hotel refinement and its decoration at the height of luxury. This French art of living is reflected in the hotel’s spa. The relaxation area, known as the Ritz Club & Spa, features a large 16-metre swimming pool surrounded by columns, lined with mosaics and topped by a ceiling adorned with a blue sky and clouds.

Not far from this immaculate universe, a hammam, sauna, gym, hairdressing, make-up and beauty salons complete the wellness offer. Six treatment rooms are named after the favourite flowers of the five-star hotel’s most famous guests, including Colette’s Iris and Ingrid Bergman’s Rose.

Located in the 7th arrondissement, the Hotel Narcisse Blanc is the quintessence of Parisian elegance, enhanced by a Belle Époque ambience. In the basement, the Art Deco-style spa features a 13-metre counter-current swimming pool in a refined cream-coloured setting with gold detailing. Large beds line the pool, perfect for letting go before heading to the treatment room for a made-to-measure ritual. The hammam, with its brown mosaics, and sauna invite you to free yourself of toxins. But before reconnecting with your body and mind, we recommend a trip to the gym, complete with treadmill and bike.

When Dior meets a luxury hotel, the result can only be enchanting. Walk through the doors of the fashion house’s spa at the Cheval Blanc Paris, in the 1st arrondissement, and you’ll discover an incredible 30m pool adorned with a blue mosaic with undulating lines, designed by Michael Mayer. After a visit to the snow shower, sauna and hammam, head for one of the 6 treatment rooms, adorned with top-quality materials such as white onyx and alpha quartz. These include the Suite New Look, a reference to Dior’s iconic style, designed for the Rêve Couture six-hand ritual, the Suite Bonheur with two massage beds and the Suite Sauvage, featuring a massage bed covered in alpha quartz. Tissue massages, sensory awakenings and cutting-edge technologies promise to make for a magical moment.

Spread over 400m2, the Guerlain spa takes us on a journey to a Greco-Roman world. With its majestic Burgundy stone staircase, gigantic 15-metre bas-relief by the pool and various sculptures, this immaculate setting, enhanced by green-patterned beds, offers an original design that is unique in Paris. The spa at this 16th arrondissement hotel also includes three treatment rooms, one of which is a double. All enhanced by the cosmetics brand’s products.

In the heart of the Maison Proust hotel in the 3rd arrondissement, the La Mer spa invites you to take a trip to the Orient. The masters of art in charge of the King of Morocco’s palaces created the zellige and tadelakt tiles. Around the 10-metre swimming pool, the columns and walls in traditional mosaic, under a wooden ceiling lit by lanterns, transport us far from the capital. On either side of the spa, in shades of grey and blue, a scent from elsewhere contributes to this escape, as does the sensation of being lulled to sleep by the water flowing from the fountain. A hammam and three treatment rooms complete the space. A real nugget!
