[Video] Interview : At FAB Paris, Hélène Bailly Creates a Dialogue Between Picasso, Miró, and Picabia

The Grand Palais previously played host to 2024 FAB Paris, the art market’s must-attend event. On this occasion, LUXUS MAGAZINE met with Hélène Bailly, Head of the eponymous gallery on rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, known for its big names in modern art.

Born of the merger between Fine Arts Paris (created in 2017) and the Biennale des Antiquaires (created in 1956 by the founders of the Salon du Dessin) FAB Paris has established itself every year as a privileged crossroads for art lovers and collectors, bringing together the best of each specialty, from archaeology to the present day.

After a first edition under its new name in 2023 at the Grand Palais Ephémère, the 2024 edition returns to the nave of the Grand Palais, notably highlighting the collections of Béatrice Ephrussi de Rothschild, which we previously mentioned.

On this occasion, LUXUS MAGAZINE met with Hélène Bailly, a renowned gallerist and head of the eponymous gallery located on Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. This art expert took the bold step of curating an audacious exhibition featuring three masters of the Spanish avant-garde: Picasso, Miró, and Picabia.

Three iconic figures of modernism, united by shared influences, intertwined life periods, and a friendship tinged with rivalry. Through works on paper, paintings, ceramics, and bronzes, Hélène Bailly orchestrates a unique dialogue between these giants, exploring their stylistic convergences and mutual fascination. In this exclusive interview, she unveils the behind-the-scenes of this exhibition and shares her vision of FAB Paris.
