The famous ski resort of the Alps has concocted a joyful program for the approach of winter. Follow the guide!
Nestled in the heart of the Alps, Courchevel and its 6 villages welcome you once again this season to enjoy a beautiful winter. In a few figures, Courchevel is 102 ski slopes, more than 100 restaurants including 9 starred, 42 hotels and 5 palaces and no less than 45 after ski activities.
From February 6 to 19, 2023, the international ski elite will meet in the 3 Valleys resort for the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships Courchevel Meribel 2023. After Chamonix in 1937 and 1962 and Val d’Isère in 2009, the Alpine World Ski Championships will be held this time in the heart of the French Alps. For the first time in the history of the event, the competitions will be held in two locations. The women’s competitions as well as the parallel events will be held in Meribel on the Roc de Fer piste. The men’s competition will be held in Courchevel on the Eclipse slope. Finally, training and selection will take place on the Emile Allais stadium in Courchevel 1850.
Off-track activities
Last March, chef Sylvestre Wahid was awarded his first Michelin star. This is an opportunity to test the eponymous restaurant with four tables for a maximum of 16 guests. Sylvestre Wahid offers two menus, including the chef’s signature dishes such as the Roscoff crab with Tsar Imperial oscietra caviar and light mayonnaise with Timut pepper or the beet cooked in a salt crust, flaky brioche, foie gras and Richerenches black truffle.
For an after-ski cocktail party, head to the Bar Madame, where guests come to share a good mood and tapas to the sound of DJs and bands invited throughout the season. The program includes finger food and signature cocktails for a great moment of conviviality.
From February 9 to March 2, 2023, a unique mountain show will also take place. 6 pyrotechnic groups from Finland, France, the United Kingdom and Belgium will give exceptional presentations on the theme “30 years of Disneyland Paris”. A great way to end the evening.
