Snoop Dogg inspires Gucci in new campaign

Rapper, singer, producer and actor, the legendary Snoop Dogg has worn many hats. Now he’s getting into modelling with Gucci. The Italian brand has just unveiled the Snoop Dogg avatar in its video game The Sandbox, inspired by the look of the latest campaign with the rapper.

 

Snoop Dogg unveiled on his own social media channels, including Instagram, one of the photos from the new Gucci campaign, where the rapper explores one of his new jobs as a model.

Snoop Dogg can be seen wearing a bright green suit, white shirt, burgundy red velvet tie, cowboy hat and orange-tinted sunglasses, while enjoying a slice of birthday cake with another model at a rave party.

In February, Gucci announced on Twitter that it had purchased a digital plot of land in the metaverse The Sandbox, a video game offering a virtual world on the Ethereum blockchain. This virtual world allows users to create, sell, use and monetise their own NFTs.

 

“For a new generation of gamers, virtual fashion is as important as real fashion”, commented Sébastien Borget, Co-Founder of The Sandbox.

 

To coincide with the announcement, Gucci presents Snoop Dogg’s The Sandbox avatar, inspired by the rapper’s total look, in the Italian fashion house’s new “Gucci Love Parade” campaign. The creation is part of a series of 10,000 Doggies, NFTs inspired by the singer. You have a one in ten thousand chance of getting it!

 

 

With these Doggies, you will be able to evolve and grow within the video game The Sandbox but also be able to resell them via the OpenSea marketplace. The choice is yours…
