The shoulder season, or the possibility of shifting holidays between March and early May and between September and October, is becoming increasingly popular, as tour operators note.
In any case, 54% of those surveyed plan to travel to their holiday destination by plane, a mode of transport that is growing in popularity (up 5% on last year).
