The undisputed star of sunny days, ice cream is the ultimate indulgence as soon as temperatures rise. Whether artisanal, gourmet, or boldly reimagined, it can be enjoyed during a stroll, on a sunny terrace, taken to go for an impromptu break, or even delivered to your door to extend summer without leaving your couch. Whether served in a crispy cone, a generous cup, or enhanced with gourmet toppings, ice cream is much more than just a dessert : it’s a summer ritual.
An overview of five brands that melt gourmets’ hearts with their ice cream creations, as refined as they are refreshing.
Ravi, ice cream from Provence

Born in Lourmarin, in the heart of the Luberon, Ravi turns artisanal ice cream into a true tribute to the flavors of Provence. Founded by Clément Martin, an artisan ice cream maker trained by the Compagnons du Devoir and later by a Meilleur Ouvrier de France, the brand prides itself on a meticulous approach: recipes crafted without artificial colors or flavors, low in sugar, using ingredients rigorously selected from local producers and in tune with the seasons.
Alongside the great classics, Raví cultivates a taste for surprise with creations inspired by the Provençal terroir. Vanilla-Caramel, Apple-Ginger, Pear-Sage, and even Navette with orange blossom—a nod to the famous Marseille specialty—make up a menu that is as original as it is refined. Handcrafted in the Vaucluse region, the house’s ice creams can be discovered in its Provençal shops, but also enjoyed throughout France thanks to a refrigerated delivery service. A spot that captures, spoonful by spoonful, the sunny spirit of the South.

Jean-Paul Hévin

At Jean-Paul Hévin, ice cream becomes a true exercise in haute chocolaterie. The Meilleur Ouvrier de France reimagines the popsicle with his Exquis Momo collection, featuring refined ice cream bars where homemade ice cream and sorbets are paired with a gluten-free almond-chestnut cookie, before being coated in carefully selected Grand Cru chocolates. A gourmet signature that reflects the full expertise of the House.
Among this season’s creations are the Pistachio-Morello Cherry combination, enhanced by a ruby chocolate coating and pistachio slivers; Yogurt-Mango; Vanilla & Almonds; and Cacao, an intense flavor enrobed in Grand Cru dark chocolate from Cameroon and cocoa nibs. Available individually or in gift boxes, these portable ice creams stand out as one of the most elegant gourmet treats of the summer, available in the House’s Parisian boutiques.

Le Grand Café Fauchon

Le Grand Café Fauchon is setting up shop for the summer! This summer, FAUCHON invites food lovers to treat themselves to a refreshing break on the quintessentially Parisian Place de la Madeleine. Just steps from its historic boutique, the House has set up an elegant ice cream cart that celebrates the full expertise of French gastronomy in a decidedly summery style.
On the menu, a collection of flavors as classic as they are irresistible: intense 72% Valrhona chocolate, delicate Madagascar vanilla, 100% Arabica coffee with roasted notes, creamy pistachio, salted butter caramel, as well as two fruity sorbets—raspberry and strawberry—coconut milk, and Syracuse lemon, perfect for sunny days.
Served in a cone or a cup, these frozen creations can be customized to suit your mood thanks to a generous selection of toppings: crispy feuilletine, Breton shortbread crumble, caramelized almond slivers, light whipped cream, or caramel and strawberry coulis add texture and indulgence to every bite.
The FAUCHON signature is finally found in a detail that makes all the difference: the option to pair your ice cream with one of the House’s macarons. A touch as refined as it is iconic, transforming a simple ice cream break into a true gourmet experience.

Maison Astrid

The latest gourmet hotspot in Neuilly-sur-Seine, Maison Astrid is breathing new life into artisanal ice cream. At the helm is Astrid Lépée, a former architect who switched careers to become a pastry chef; she earned her CAP in Pastry at the École Ducasse in Yssingeaux before honing her skills at iconic establishments such as Carette and Maison Mulot. Every day, she creates artisanal ice creams using carefully selected ingredients and fresh seasonal fruit, prioritizing authenticity and creativity.
The menu showcases bold, indulgent flavors: chocolate sorbet, pineapple-coconut, full-fruit grapefruit, as well as stracciatella or black sesame ice creams. The most adventurous will succumb to the limited-edition flavor of the week, such as the nostalgic caramel-drizzled rice pudding. Another house specialty is the irresistible “sablonettes”, delicate artisanal ice creams sandwiched between two thin wafers, which you can customize to your liking. A spot that charms as much with the quality of its creations as with its ambiance, delicately inspired by Italy.

Une Glace à Paris

Established in the Marais since 2015, Une Glace à Paris is the brainchild of Emmanuel Ryon, a Meilleur Ouvrier de France Glacier, and Olivier Ménard. The shop reimagines artisanal ice cream with creations featuring exceptional ingredients, sorbets in bold flavors, and a rare specialty: frozen pastries. Vacherins, parfaits, nougatines, Norwegian omelets, and other frozen desserts sit alongside creative flavors, making this spot a must-visit for foodies in Paris.
