The London brand Burberry, known for its famous trench coats, is moving to Galeries Lafayette Haussmann for a pop-up.
For the end of the year, the most London-based of fashion brands, Burberry, is setting up shop at Galeries Lafayette Haussmann in an immersive pop-up until November 14.
On this occasion, the house unveils its new winter pieces, with some exclusives. In 2018, it was the world of its famous trench coat that was in the spotlight in the department store, taking on the “architectural details of the historic Haymarket building,” the first Burberry store in London.
This time, Burberry will present its ephemeral boutique entitled “Imagined Landscapes“. This space, elaborated with natural materials, sublimated with a large screen showing landscapes of the British countryside will also offer an immersive experience in collaboration with TikTok. By scanning a QR code, an exclusive experience related to the house will be revealed.
Riccardo Tisci, the artistic director of the house, wanted to highlight the novelties of the house in this ephemeral space. The latest versions of the trench coat, for example, made from water-resistant gabardine, will be on display.
The space also offers various outerwear made from this same material, such as quilted and/or sleeveless down jackets, designed with thermoregulation technology to escape the cold. Finally, the pop-up also features a selection of the house’s iconic accessories : patterned cashmere scarves, bobs, pairs of sneakers and even handbags.
