Until 7 May, the Rometti factory is unveiling “L’eau à la bouche”, a collection of ceramics created by the designer Chantal Thomass, exclusively at the Bettina Gallery.
Founded in 1927 by Settimio Rometti in Umbertide, Italy, and taken over by Massimo Monini, the Rometti ceramics factory, under the impetus of its Artistic Director Jean-Christophe Clair, perpetuates the tradition and know-how of Italian master ceramists. The Umbrian clay extracted from the banks of the Tiber has always been the basis of a craft production that is not only limited to the creation of exceptional pieces, but whose ambition is also to leave an outstanding mark on the panorama of contemporary ceramics.
On the strength of this artistic creation and desire for innovation, the Manufacture is offering an exclusive opportunity at the Galerie Bettina in Paris to discover its new collection in collaboration with the French designer Chantal Thomass. A major figure in fashion, Chantal Thomass has contributed, along with a whole new wave of designers, to redrawing the contours of femininity. Beyond fashion, she has extended her artistic collaborations, according to her desires.
Here she signs a series of ceramic dishes with Rometti, in limited edition. Faithful to her favourite materials and themes, she transposes her universe by giving pride of place to the masculine-feminine, which she embodies with glamour.
