The Tambour Spin Time Air watch by Louis Vuitton has been redesigned to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the French luxury brand’s watchmaking division.
Renamed Tambour Spin Time Air Quantum, this watch features a design inspired by the bioluminescence of deep-sea creatures, where the hours have been inserted into floating luminescent cubes, making a quarter turn every hour.
Its 42.5 mm case is made of frosted titanium, while the back of this timepiece is made of sapphire, where the company’s monogram is represented in the form of a printed circuit. Finally, a black alligator leather strap with touches of luminous yellow reminiscent of the emblematic hues of Super-Luminova pigments accompanies this watch.
The watch – which took two years to develop – seems “so simple once you hold it in your hand,” said Louis Vuitton’s director of marketing and development, Jean Arnault.
The Tambour Spin Time Air Quantum is already available for purchase and you can expect to spend $93,000 (€85,200) on it.
