During the first week of April, the Watches & Wonders Show presented the latest collections from the big names in watchmaking. Here is a selection of five watches that particularly impressed the editors of Luxus Magazine.
While the first quarterly issue of the print edition of Luxus Magazine explores the latest trends in watches and jewelry, the Salon Watches & Wonders, which took place from April 1 to 7, was an opportunity to appreciate the finest watchmaking creations. From Charriol to Patek Philippe to Bvlgari, discover some sublime timepieces.
Charriol
Charriol unveiled its new Mariner Watch, part of the collection of the same name. Its marine link bracelets are inspired by the nautical world, a sport dear to the brand. Engraved cable motifs and a mother-of-pearl dial also add a touch of refinement. A profusion of diamonds gives this timepiece a very luxurious dimension.
Patek Philippe
The Calatrava 8 Days Reference 5328G is one of Patek Philippe’s new timepieces. This wristwatch features an instantaneous day/date display and an eight-day power reserve. Patek Philippe has developed a new movement, a hand-wound caliber 31-505 8J PS IRM CI J, featuring a Pulsomax® escapement with Silinvar® escape wheel and lever, originally developed as part of the Patek Philippe Adva® program.
Chanel
The watchmaking division of the French Maison has presented its J12 BLEU Calibre 12.1. This emblematic Chanel timepiece is clothed in matt blue ceramic and brilliant blue sapphire indicators, and is equipped with the Calibre 12.1 self-winding movement. This limited edition is accompanied by the J12 BLEU Diamond Tourbillon model, distinguished by its Calibre 5 flying tourbillon movement and 34 blue sapphires. These collections were developed at the Swiss Manufacture Kenissi, of which Chanel is co-owner.
