The most beautiful hotels near the Eiffel Tower in Paris

In less than a week’s time, the Paris 2024 Olympic Games will put the capital in the spotlight, and with it its establishments reflecting French chic. Focus on five luxury hotels close to the legendary Eiffel Tower, ideally located for this global event.

Le Shangri-La Paris

The former home of Prince Roland Bonaparte, listed as a Historic Monument since 2009, the Shangri-La Paris is the hotel facing the Eiffel Tower par excellence. A veritable treasure of the 16th arrondissement, with its typically Haussmannian façade, the palace has been restored by architect Richard Martinet and decorated by Pierre-Yves Rochon. Marble, mouldings and crystal chandeliers blend Asian touches with French elegance. The 101 rooms and suites, in shades of blue, camel and light yellow, are as soothing as they are modern. Some have private terraces with breathtaking views of the Eiffel Tower. The Iron Lady can also be seen from the outdoor terrace. The Shangri-La Paris is home to France’s only Michelin-starred Chinese restaurant, the Shang Palace, led by chef Tony Xu. Bauhinia, by Quentin Testart, focuses on seafood cuisine. Finally, the lounge bar and its lounges reveal a hushed atmosphere at the height of luxury. The experience ends with the Chi spa, one of the most beautiful spas in the City of Light, with its majestic pool surrounded by antique columns and sculpted paintings with floral motifs.

Hotel Juliana Paris

There are some lobbies that already announce all the splendour of a hotel. And this is the case at the Juliana Paris. Adorned with statues, sculptures and antique mosaic frescoes, the entrance to this five-star address opens onto a staircase overlooked by a sumptuous sun-like chandelier. A few steps down and we’re in front of the pearly beige reception counter with its organic lines. This combination of strong pieces creates a unique design that is as enchanting as it is modern. The atmosphere of the 39 rooms is just as powerful, but without losing its softness, carried by aesthetic touches inspired by various artistic movements. In the bar, wood panelling and dark tones highlight the hushed, intimate setting, where business discussions and romantic declarations cannot escape through the walls. In terms of well-being, the spa reserved for guests, with its mosaic pool and frescoes of voluptuous bodies, is a pleasantly calm bubble of relaxation.

Renaissance Nobel Eiffel Tower

Just a stone’s throw from the Iron Lady, the Renaissance Nobel Tour Eiffel stands as the former refuge of the ingenious Alfred Nobel, who set up his orchid greenhouse here at the end of the 19th century. In all, four historic buildings, formerly a convent in 1850, house an immense green garden at their heart, with a parquet flooring terrace adorned with Parisian lampposts. Here, or in the glass roof, you can savour French dishes with a Slavic flavour from Maison Revka. And for a cocktail, head for the lounge bar. The 122 refined rooms are distinguished by their headboards depicting a landscape of plains and forests.

Le Cinq Codet

In the 7th arrondissement, the charm of the Cinq Codet has attracted international visitors, as it is fully booked for the period of the Paris Olympic Games. Nestled in a 1930s building, the five-star hotel features a collection of unique contemporary paintings, reminiscent of the nearby Rodin Museum. The 67 rooms and suites, where you can choose from 29 different styles, feature large, light-filled windows, portholes, curved banquettes and mezzanines or loggias, giving the place the feel of a large ocean liner. Chef David Maroleau’s restaurant, which also features a bar and patio, offers contemporary cuisine that respects the seasons. On the 3rd floor, surrounded by an open-air terrace, the spa features a jacuzzi and massage cabin.

K. Place Paris

A few metres from Boulevard Saint-Germain, J. K. Place Paris has been inspired by the success of its Italian peers in Rome and Florence to climb the ladder of the finest hotels near the Eiffel Tower. Florentine decorator Michele Bönan has skilfully designed the spaces, which are adorned with antique furniture, modern designs and all manner of antiques. The 29 rooms and suites feature mouldings, fireplaces and marble bathrooms. When you feel the need to relax, head to the spa, with its swimming pool, hammam and treatment rooms. Finally, the Casa Tua restaurant, with its pretty glass roof and small courtyard, showcases Italian cuisine rich in sunny flavours.
