The terrace of the Peninsula Paris is decorated with Christmas colors

In Paris, the Peninsula is dressing up its Kléber terrace in holiday splendor. Until January 2022, enjoy the covered terrace of the Palace while tasting Christmas specialties.

The luxurious Peninsula Paris palace is once again welcoming inquisitive and gourmet visitors for the holiday season, after a Christmas marked by health restrictions for the 2020 season.

As it has every year since 2018, the Peninsula Paris will adorn its lobby with a huge, beautifully decorated Christmas tree featuring characters from its festive seasonal story collection “Stories from the Tree” . This year, for the fourth and final adventure in the series, the character of Reindeer takes center stage through a children’s story that explores Christmas traditions around the world.

To extend the experience for curious visitors or hotel guests, the Kléber terrace, one of the largest covered terraces in Paris, has a festive decor. During the day, young and old alike can gather around the sweet smells of the holiday season. Between roasted chestnuts, cotton candy, pretzels and Liège waffles, you can find all the flavors of the month of December.

The festive menu begins with French toast with comté cheese, truffles and Wagyu beef, followed by lobster and citrus baba, and finally, flaky brioche with praline or chestnut and blackcurrant crepes. To warm up, there is nothing like the classic hot chocolate with Timut pepper or the hot white wine infused with apple and Christmas spices made by the head sommelier Florent Martin.

Also discover the famous Yule log, this year inspired by the forest and designed by the Peninsula Paris’ sous-chef pâtissière, Anne Coruble, and executive chef David Bizet. This Yule log evokes sensory memories associated with forests. Its organic shape recalls the roots and branches of trees, as well as the crackling embers of a fireplace. The flavors of the log, meanwhile, evoke the olfactory experience of a walk through an apple orchard: its crisp chocolate shell contains layers of vanilla ganache infused with roasted apple leaves, a creamy applewood-smoked Madagascar chocolate ganache, and a creamy apple-infused caramel.

This winter terrace will be open Friday through Sunday from November 26 through December 19, 2021, and daily from December 20 through January 2, 2022. For more information, click here.
