The Sky Bar by Seen, located in Lisbon, gets the gold medal of the most beautiful rooftops of the world according to TimeOut. The backdrop is the São Jorge Castle, the Tagus River and the Arrábida mountain range, as well as the rooftops of the Portuguese capital. The Sky Bar, on the 9th floor of the Tivoli Hotel Avenida Liberdade, is an extension of the SEEN Lisboa restaurant. As glamorous as lively and warm, the atmosphere of the place invites you to enjoy a cocktail signed by the chef bartender Lucas Jacques and taste the sunny dishes on the table.
Paris is in the limelight and ranks 2nd. Direction Le Perchoir Ménilmontant in the 11th arrondissement of the city of light. On the 7th floor of an industrial building, this roof terrace consisting of a large bar, a pergola and a snack hut reveals the Sacré-Coeur, the Parisian fireplaces and the buildings that surround the place. Surrounded by tomato plants and vines, you can enjoy a glass of wine in front of the sunset on a soft cushion, accompanied by Italian-American dishes from the restaurant Vecchio, between focaccia and stuffed peppers.
Also on the podium, the William Gray Terrace in Montreal enjoys a breathtaking view of Place Jacques-Cartier, the St. Lawrence River and the city’s Ferris wheel. In Mumbai, perched atop the Four Seasons hotel, AER bar overlooks the bay. Chic and trendy, this lively space is the perfect date for a drink in the early evening. In fifth place, we find the Frank’s Café in London. Open in summer, this large bar with a relaxed atmosphere offers drinks and food to share, all surrounded by the city.
Cape Town has a sublime bar, the Chinchilla Rooftop Café & Bar. This South African setting overlooks the Camps Bay strip and offers a view of the sun setting over the Atlantic. Facing the palm trees and white sands, we choose a juice from the wine and whiskey list, and some dishes, between sushi and seafood. In Hong Kong, it’s the Wooloomooloo Steakhouse that stands out for its Time Out. The proposal? On the 13th floor of the Chicago Athletic Association hotel, under a glass atrium, Cindy’s faces Millennium Park and Lake Michigan. This rooftop showcases dishes inspired by local products and seafood. TimeOut also selected Siglo in Melbourne, a bar that overlooks the city, the parliament, the spire of St Patrick’s Cathedral and the domes of the Princess Theatre. In Barcelona, it is the Pulitzer Terrace that integrates the Top10. Ideal festive place to celebrate the weekend.
