What are the trends in shoes for autumn 2025?

Who says back to school in September says new fashion calendar. Exit the sandals and the fishnet ballerinas: place to the new shoes of autumn 2025.

Ultra high heels, sneakerinas, drop boots… This autumn, luxury houses and ready-to-wear brands are revisiting classics, reinventing models and merging styles. Overview of the most trendy shoes of the moment.

After the kitten heels, the vertiginous heels or Power Pumps are back. According to the latest report from luxury second-hand platform The RealReal on the resale market in 2025, searches for high heels jumped by +26%. Exit therefore comfort and hello to the stereotype of femininity at its peak.

Certainly unmissable in the locker room, moccasins or loafer shoe continue to integrate the autumn 2025 trends in several forms. The flagship shoe from Italian fashion house Miu Miu has inspired others, particularly Carel, renowned for its Mary Jane pumps. Very sophisticated with pointed ends, flexible and to be worn with thick socks, devoid of embellishments or adorned with multiple details… To each style, its shoe! For the greatest happiness of the Parisian wardrobe and the preppy trend. We also remember the boat shoe that is making a strong comeback in stores.

Fusions of sneakers and ballerinas, the sneakerinas give a very sharp and fashionable style. Casual and trendy, the model already adopted by the it-girls comes in a wide variety of colors and materials. Perfect for a look as sporty as refined. Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga, and now Repetto have adopted this urban, sportswear reinterpretation of the ballet flat.

The high sneakers

They were thought to be extinct forever. And yet. Eternally starting again, fashion is once again seizing high-top sneakers, reaching to the ankles, or even to the calves. No doubt that the Formula 1 races phenomenon in luxury and nostalgia Y2K and the 80s/90s has something to do with it…

The wide and falling boots

There was the time of ultra-long second skin waders, that of riding boots, not to mention the period of biker boots. For the autumn of 2025, and in the Loud Luxury movement, boots are meant to be very wide or saggy and crumpled, as withered by their own weight. Slouchy models to wear with a mini skirt, shorts or skinny pants. This trend was propelled by the Fall/Winter 2025 fashion shows of Ralph Lauren and Zimmermann. Or perhaps it was the cover of the latest single, “Everybody’s Gonna Try to Figure Me Out,” by Californian band Haim, on which one of the members poses in a striped top, denim shorts, and crumpled cognac-colored boots.

The fanciful details

How to spice up a sober and classic outfit? By wearing shoes themselves dressed with some details. Refined knots, lace, flowery brooches, ornaments of all kinds… We dare to wear jewelry shoes.

Soberly tinted with whites and beiges, with broad graphic and contrasting patterns, in a patchwork of colors: the autumn boots walk in a pretty chromatic palette as soft as it is bolder.

Another detail that’s gaining momentum: animal prints are also making their way into the city, for an urban safari effect. Whether feline or more exotic, leopard and python details, seen at Isabel Marant, Christian Louboutin, and Stuart Weitzman, allow you to play with contrasts or even dare to go for a total look from head to toe.

Our editorial forecast

Bet on the future. While Taylor Swift is preparing to unveil her 12th album The Life of a Showgirl at the beginning of October, the singer of all the records enters a new era around the stage, but also behind the scenes. This glamorous, cabaret, theatrical and flamboyant side suggests a future fashion trend celebrating the show. Feathers, sequins and stars could soon dress us from head to toe. With its rhinestone socks, Miu Miu offers a glimpse of this trend in its Fall/Winter 2025-26 campaign.
