Experience the Easter egg hunt organized by Ladurée in the garden of the Champs-Élysées

Where and when will the bells go in Paris ? The Faubourg Saint-Honoré committee is organizing an egg hunt again this year, in partnership with the House of Ladurée. Come and succumb to this greedy and playful quest on the theme of the farm in the garden of the Champs-Élysées, this Wednesday 13 April 2022.

This egg hunt is also an opportunity to revisit the history of one of the emblematic French high-end pastry houses. In 1862, Louis-Ernest Ladurée opened a bakery in the Madeleine, a district of luxury artisans. Louis-Ernest Ladurée’s wife, Jeanne Souchard, had the idea of merging café and pastry shop and invented the tea room to become a meeting place.

Ladurée is also the invention of a famous French pastry : the Macaron. In 1930, the grand-cousin of the creator of the House imagined a pastry in which two shells were assembled and filled with a delicious ganache. The macaron, emblem of the City of Light, was thus born.

To celebrate the 160th anniversary of the House, Ladurée has imagined and created a majestic creation, made from 35% cocoa milk chocolate. It is filled with dark, milk and rose-tinted white chocolate fritures in the shapes of the emblematic Ladurée pastries.
