A Gucci restaurant will open on March 28 in Seoul in collaboration with Italian chef Massimo Bottura.
In Seoul, Gucci is planning to open its contemporary restaurant called “Gucci Osteria Seoul” in the Itaewon district of Seoul. The restaurant will feature Italian celebrity chef Massimo Bottura.
This will be the fourth restaurant in the Gucci/Bottura collaboration, following restaurants in Florence, Italy, Los Angeles, USA and Tokyo, Japan.
The Seoul restaurant will be located on the fifth floor of the Gucci Gaok building in Itaewon, and will offer a fusion menu of Italian and Korean cuisines. The interior design of Gucci Osteria Seoul follows the design of Gucci Osteria Tokyo, with starry ceiling lights, parquet flooring and a marble mosaic on the terrace. In addition to the main dining room and terrace, the restaurant also houses a private dining room dubbed the “Hall of Mirrors” with a capacity of eight people.
The menu has been designed by Massimo Bottura, the chef-owner of three Michelin-starred restaurant Osteria Francescana, Gucci Osteria Florence chef Karime Lopez, and the two chefs from Gucci Osteria in Seoul, Jeon Hyung-gyu and Davide Cardellini. The menu will include the chefs’ signature dishes such as Tortellini with Parmigiano Reggiano cream and Korean-inspired dishes, Seoul Garden and Summer in Adriatic.
Osteria Gucci Seoul has already opened online reservations via the Gucci Gaok website.
