Luxury real estate

Despite the pandemic, the demand for luxury real estate is not drying up, continuing the trend observed over the past 2 years. Properties located near French resorts such as Courchevel, Megève, or Val d’Isère are attracting more and more investors. And this trend is confirmed in our Swiss neighbors, as for example in Gstaad. According to a study by, 30% of French people consider that luxury real estate remains a safer value than before the crisis and 64% of respondents believe that the time is right to invest in a prestigious property. The first quarter of 2021 was “the strongest in 20 yearswith nearly 400 million euros of property sold, according to Sotheby’s International Realty France.

David Prétot, head of Barnes Mont-Blanc explains to Luxus + Mag: “With the crisis, many owners needed a place in the countryside where to spend the holidays in the best way. (…) they found in the mountains the peace and isolation necessary for the best possible conditions for remote work.
