Paris Design Week, a not-to-be-missed event for design and decoration enthusiasts, returns to the capital from September 7 to 16, 2023. For ten days, Paris transforms itself into a huge playground for design enthusiasts, offering exhibitions, conferences, workshops and art installations in various parts of the city.

 

Visitors will have the opportunity to rediscover contemporary art galleries, designer showrooms and ephemeral spaces specially set up for the occasion. Paris Design Week showcases the diversity of design fields, from furniture and fashion to architecture and new technologies.

 

A true celebration of innovation and creativity, the event fosters encounters between professionals and design enthusiasts, paving the way for new vocations! Galeries Lafayette Champs-Élysées

 

Kitesy Martin’s “Planète Renew” exhibition takes up residence in the private lounge of Galeries Lafayette Champs Élysées. It transports us to an exhausted universe where humanity has sought refuge on another planet, taking with it its most precious possessions. Thanks to these remnants of earthly objects, a new art of living is taking shape, involving upcycling. “Planète Renew” invites visitors to explore this new world by slipping into the apartment of one of its inhabitants.

At Paris Design Week Factory, 16m² represents a workshop dedicated to the design and manufacture of objects for our daily lives, located in Montreuil. Their approach is based on radical design, favoring in-house production, made to order and with particular attention to detail and quality.

Uchronia

 

Like a gentle breeze on a summer’s evening, Uchronia takes up residence in the Orangerie of the Hôtel de Sully. A luminous, shimmering ambience spreads from room to room, like a sunset penetrating through the arched windows and projecting delicate nuances.

64 Cléry is actively involved in Paris Design Week, providing a stage for French designers to present their collections from September 7 to 10. Galeries Lafayette Haussmann

 

Korean artist Kimsooja unveils her monumental site-specific installation “To Breathe” at Galeries Lafayette Haussmann. The work transforms the historic dome of the department store into a living canvas, where a film diffusing natural light creates a myriad of colors. Throughout the day, this installation transforms interior and exterior surfaces into ephemeral landscapes, vibrant with iridescent hues.
